1
00:00:00,200 –> 00:00:03,480
Welcome to Paranormal Night
Shift, your home for all things

2
00:00:03,480 –> 00:00:06,280
that go bump in the dark and
your fan stories told here.

3
00:00:06,520 –> 00:00:10,720
Today’s story comes from Jason
and Caroline and truly asked the

4
00:00:10,720 –> 00:00:16,760
questions about mirrors and
antiques and can evil live

5
00:00:16,760 –> 00:00:19,680
within.
My wife absolutely loves

6
00:00:19,680 –> 00:00:25,000
antiquing and I’ve never really
enjoyed it myself, but I was

7
00:00:25,000 –> 00:00:29,480
doing my good husbandly duty.
Her birthday was coming up so I

8
00:00:29,480 –> 00:00:32,560
went to the antique store that
she really enjoyed going to and

9
00:00:32,840 –> 00:00:35,480
I bought her this beautiful
antique mirror.

10
00:00:35,880 –> 00:00:38,080
It had gold trim.
It was in a frame.

11
00:00:38,360 –> 00:00:41,960
I’d never seen it before.
The owner of the antique store

12
00:00:41,960 –> 00:00:44,240
said that he had just got it
from an estate sale.

13
00:00:44,840 –> 00:00:47,720
Didn’t know much about the
piece, but he let it go at a

14
00:00:47,720 –> 00:00:50,480
good price.
I put it up in our bedroom so

15
00:00:50,480 –> 00:00:53,040
that I could surprise my wife
for her birthday.

16
00:00:53,760 –> 00:00:56,960
The paranormal activity started
instantly.

17
00:00:57,620 –> 00:01:02,500
That night my wife was almost we
had gone to bed early, but she

18
00:01:02,500 –> 00:01:05,740
couldn’t fall asleep.
It was like every time she would

19
00:01:06,140 –> 00:01:09,660
get up and move, she would see
her reflection in the mirror

20
00:01:10,020 –> 00:01:11,460
just out of the corner of her
eye.

21
00:01:12,060 –> 00:01:15,980
She would get these strange
feelings like her own reflection

22
00:01:15,980 –> 00:01:19,420
was watching her.
I finally drifted off to sleep

23
00:01:19,420 –> 00:01:22,900
myself, but in the middle of the
night my wife woke up to a a

24
00:01:23,180 –> 00:01:26,290
noise.
She opened her eyes and saw that

25
00:01:26,290 –> 00:01:29,330
the mirror was hanging crookedly
on the wall.

26
00:01:30,210 –> 00:01:34,010
She got out of the bed to adjust
it, but she didn’t see her own

27
00:01:34,010 –> 00:01:37,450
reflection in there.
Instead she saw the reflection

28
00:01:37,930 –> 00:01:40,810
of a woman, a woman’s face in
the mirror.

29
00:01:41,290 –> 00:01:46,050
She was pale and grant.
She had sunken in eyes and a

30
00:01:46,050 –> 00:01:49,290
twisted smile.
My wife screamed and jumped

31
00:01:49,290 –> 00:01:52,850
backwards and woke me and
startled me and she pointed to

32
00:01:52,850 –> 00:01:55,410
the mirror.
I walked over to the mirror and

33
00:01:56,010 –> 00:01:59,290
I didn’t see anything.
I saw myself.

34
00:02:00,050 –> 00:02:03,970
I fixed the the mirror back onto
the hook of the wall and went

35
00:02:03,970 –> 00:02:06,610
back to sleep.
It it must have just been a

36
00:02:06,610 –> 00:02:09,410
nightmare, sweetheart, just just
go to sleep.

37
00:02:10,330 –> 00:02:15,250
I wish it was just a nightmare.
It continued that way for days.

38
00:02:15,530 –> 00:02:18,810
My wife became drawn to the
mirror, and the woman in the

39
00:02:18,810 –> 00:02:23,130
mirror would appear nightly, her
reflection getting closer and

40
00:02:23,130 –> 00:02:25,850
closer, getting more and more
detail.

41
00:02:26,650 –> 00:02:30,250
My wife said she could hear it
whispering things to her, things

42
00:02:30,250 –> 00:02:33,210
that she couldn’t understand,
but it was terrifying.

43
00:02:33,770 –> 00:02:37,330
My wife couldn’t sleep anymore.
She started to lose weight.

44
00:02:38,250 –> 00:02:42,410
Her hair started to fall out.
Everything about the mirror just

45
00:02:42,970 –> 00:02:44,810
frightened her.
She didn’t know what to do.

46
00:02:45,090 –> 00:02:47,250
And me, as her husband, I didn’t
know what to do.

47
00:02:47,570 –> 00:02:52,210
One night I woke out of bed to
see my wife just standing there,

48
00:02:52,910 –> 00:02:55,790
looking into the mirror closer
and closer.

49
00:02:55,830 –> 00:03:00,790
She was almost in a trance.
I tried to speak to her and she

50
00:03:00,790 –> 00:03:02,990
didn’t hear me.
She she was paying no attention

51
00:03:02,990 –> 00:03:06,950
to me, just talking to the
reflection in the mirror.

52
00:03:07,390 –> 00:03:11,270
Her reflection in the mirror and
her reflection began to look

53
00:03:11,950 –> 00:03:14,110
more and more like the woman in
the mirror.

54
00:03:15,110 –> 00:03:18,750
The more hair she lost, the more
sickly she became, the more her

55
00:03:18,750 –> 00:03:22,790
eyes sunk into her head.
This mirror was was evil and I

56
00:03:22,790 –> 00:03:24,750
had to find a way to break her
out of the trance.

57
00:03:24,750 –> 00:03:28,790
I I grabbed a light next to the
bed and I smashed the mirror

58
00:03:29,030 –> 00:03:32,710
into a million pieces.
My wife woke out of whatever

59
00:03:32,710 –> 00:03:36,910
trance that horrible, evil
cursed mirror had put on her.

60
00:03:37,830 –> 00:03:40,910
For the first time, I felt like
I was finally looking at my wife

61
00:03:40,910 –> 00:03:43,350
again.
We we have to get out of here.

62
00:03:43,910 –> 00:03:46,430
Let’s just let’s go spend the
night somewhere else.

63
00:03:46,430 –> 00:03:50,820
Let’s Let’s get away.
I drove that night to a hotel.

64
00:03:50,820 –> 00:03:53,020
We just needed sleep.
We just needed to.

65
00:03:53,900 –> 00:03:58,140
We just needed to go to sleep.
During the car ride there to the

66
00:03:58,140 –> 00:04:00,620
hotel.
I asked her like what?

67
00:04:00,740 –> 00:04:02,180
What were you talking to in the
mirror?

68
00:04:02,180 –> 00:04:04,900
What was what was the mirror
saying to you?

69
00:04:06,300 –> 00:04:09,780
I don’t even know.
My wife said that The lady in

70
00:04:09,780 –> 00:04:12,540
the mirror told me that I would
never escape.

71
00:04:13,140 –> 00:04:17,339
I’d never escape.
Thank you so much for smashing

72
00:04:17,339 –> 00:04:18,300
the mirror.
That thing.

73
00:04:18,890 –> 00:04:21,250
There’s something with it was it
was horrible.

74
00:04:21,890 –> 00:04:23,250
Thank you for smashing the
mirror.

75
00:04:23,610 –> 00:04:26,370
I thought it would all be over.
I really did.

76
00:04:27,170 –> 00:04:30,250
But the moment we got to the
hotel, I I fell asleep.

77
00:04:30,250 –> 00:04:33,770
I was exhausted as well.
It felt like it was finally

78
00:04:34,290 –> 00:04:36,850
over.
Until the next morning.

79
00:04:37,730 –> 00:04:41,850
She wasn’t in bed.
I had no idea where she was.

80
00:04:42,650 –> 00:04:45,250
Sweetheart, where are you?
Nothing.

81
00:04:46,190 –> 00:04:48,910
But I could see the shadow of
her reflection standing in the

82
00:04:48,910 –> 00:04:52,430
bathroom.
There, in the reflection of the

83
00:04:52,430 –> 00:04:56,790
mirror in the bathroom, the same
woman who was in the reflection

84
00:04:56,790 –> 00:04:59,590
of the evil mirror that we had
hanged in our bedroom.

85
00:05:00,310 –> 00:05:03,150
There truly is no escape.
