The Devil’s Tramping Ground is a large circular path where nothing grows. Legend has it that the Devil comes out at night and stomps down any living thing in the circle. The park ranger in this story was investigating a report of trespassers in the area when he saw two kids partying in the circle. As he approached them, a large black figure appeared with red glowing eyes. The creature grabbed the kids and dragged them down into a hole in the middle of the circle.
The park ranger was the only witness to the event, and no one has ever seen the kids again. He turned in his badge shortly after the incident, shaken by what he had witnessed.
